Aeschynanthus radicans 'Rasta' is a trailing plant from the Gesneriaceae family. The leaves are elliptic and tightly curled under with adjacent leaf pairs perpendicular to one another. Flowers are red and tubular in shape and surrounded by a tubular calyx (an outer covering of the petals) and grow in clusters at the ends of the stems.

Foliage: Approximately 25cm in length.
Secrets to success
Light: Bright indirect light to partial shade.
Watering: Aeschynanthus are quite thirsty, keep potting mix damp. Reduce watering in winter to encourage bud formation.
Air humidity: Average to higher humidity, over 60% is preferred.
Potting mix: Well draining mix with some sphagnum moss.
This plant is non-toxic.
