Aglaonema 'Golden Lipstick' is a cultivar from the Araceae family, Aglaonema are native to tropical Asia and New Guinea. Leaves are elliptic in shape, leaf margins and midribs are pink.

The genus name comes from the Greek words 'aglaos' which means 'bright' or 'clear ' and 'nema' meaning 'a thread' which is in reference to the stamens.

Secrets to success

 

Temperature: 18-24˚C.

 

Light: Bright indirect light.

 

Watering: The more light it gets the more water it will need. Water thoroughly during summer, allowing compost to dry out a little between watering's. Reduce watering in winter.

 

Air humidity: Prefers higher humidity but will tolerate average.

 

Fertilising: Feed once a month during the growing season.

 

Potting mix: Well draining mix with coco coir, perlite and bark.

 

This plant is toxic, keep out of reach of pets and children.
