Alocasia cucullata is part of the Araceae family. It is native to China and other parts of South East Asia. It's often planted around temples as it is meant to bring good luck. Alocasia cucullata grow in clumps and have leaves up to 20cm across.

Light: This plant appreciates full sun to partial shade. Water: Alocasia cucullata likes to have damp feet - moist-wet soil!

Fertiliser: Feed once a month during the spring and summer, no need to feed in winter. Alocasia have a dormant period where leaves will fade and die - do not be alarmed when this happens. During this period, the plants will require less water, so simply moisten the soil from time to time and keep your plant warm.
This plant is toxic and a skin and eye-irritant, keep out of reach of pets and children. Wash hands immediately if you have sap on them.
