Secrets to success

Temperature: Ideally 15-25°C, this plant will go dormant in temperatures below 12°C.

Light: Bright indirect light, avoid direct sun.

Watering: Keep potting medium damp; Alocasia are thirsty plants. Reduce watering in winter.

Air humidity: Higher humidity is best; this can be achieved by sitting the plant on a tray of watered pebbles or using a humidifier.

Fertilising: Feed bi-weekly during the growing season.

Potting mix: A mix of coco coir, orchid bark, perlite and shredded sphagnum moss.

This plant is toxic, keep out of reach of pets and children.
