Hoya carnosa 'Tricolor' are climbing plants that have thick, fleshy, waxy leaves which are elliptical in shape, the juvenile leaves have a pink flush. Hoya 'Tricolor' produce clusters of star shaped waxy flowers - they smell beautiful. Although not known to be toxic, the sap produced may be an irritant. Hoya is part of the Apocynaceae family and the 'Tricolor' is a cultivated variety. They are native to south Asia.

Secrets to success
Temperature: Average to warm is fine, 16-24°C.
Light: Hoya carnosa 'Tricolour' can handle 2 hours of direct sunlight and will be happiest in a bright spot.
Air Humidity: Average humidity is fine but to increase humidity group plants together, mist them, use a humidifier or place your plant on a watered pebble tray.
Watering: Water moderately during the growing season and reduce watering in winter.
Fertiliser: Feed Hoya every few weeks during the growing period.
These plants are not known to be toxic but sap is an irritant, keep out of reach just in case.
