Philodendron 'Pink Princess' is a popular hybrid thought to have orginated in Australia using P.erubescens, both are part of the Araceae family and P.erubescens is native to Columbia. Leaves are cordate in shape, dark green with splashes of pink variegation. This variety would benefit from a mosspole as it loves to climb.

Secrets to success


Temperature: Philodendron thrive in warm temperatures, 18-23°C is ideal.


Light: Bright, indirect light is best but they're able to succeed in shadier conditions.


Water: Prefer to be moist, allow top inch to dry out in between watering.


Air Humidity: Philodendron erubescens love a warm and humid environment. You can increase humidity by grouping plants together, placing the plant on a watered tray of pebbles and using a humidifier.


Fertilising: Feed every other watering during the growing season. 


Potting mix: A chunky, well draining mix with bark is ideal.
