Stylish Plants for City Living
Root Houseplants was chosen to provide a high-end commercial plant installation and biophilic design scheme for Pall Mall Press, a prominent luxury apartment development in central Liverpool. The project focused on integrating stylish, low-maintenance office plants into the communal areas to enhance the premium living experience for residents.
The core requirement for Pall Mall Press was to introduce statement pieces that would complement the modern, stylish aesthetic of the city living environment. The goal was to use greenery to elevate the building's atmosphere, creating a strong sense of place and sophisticated well-being for tenants.
Our biophilic design focused on selecting visually impactful, structural foliage that reinforces the building’s luxury positioning and ensures long-term vitality with minimal interference.
Our commercial planting scheme was carefully specified to ensure maximum visual impact with species known for resilience in communal, high-design areas.
Architectural Statement: We used robust and stylish plants like Ficus, known for their structural forms, as key statement pieces in main lobbies and reception areas to anchor the space and draw the eye.
Low-Maintenance Style: Durable species, including Philodendron and Sansevieria (Snake Plant), were selected. These popular office plants provide excellent texture and air-purifying qualities while requiring minimal commercial plant maintenance—perfect for residential property management.
Aesthetic Alignment: Every plant and planter was chosen to align with the contemporary finishes of the Liverpool development, reinforcing the luxury brand.
