Plant Brief

Statement greenery for The Old School House

CLIENT: The Old School House

BUSINESS TYPE: Bar and eatery

LOCATION: Lark Lane, Liverpool

INSTALLATION: Root Houseplants

PLANT BRIEF: 1970’s Houseplant vibe

PLANTS USED: Monstera, Epipremnum, Sansevieria, Philodendron.

Hanging plant installation

This Lark Lane eatery is a spacious venue with a big conservatory space to the side of the building, perfect for plants. The client wanted a mix of hanging foliage with lots of high-impact floor plants. After several meetings we agreed that the tried and tested 1970’s mix of Epipremnum aureum and Monstera deliciosa would look best here and we weren't wrong! The growth of both of these plants in particular has been spectacular. We didn’t anticipate them to settle in as well as they have done, even displaying some impressive winter growth. We’ve already pencilled in a Spring 2022 repot for the main floor plants which will enable them to keep thriving and continue to make this venue stand out from the crowd.

Visited Liverpool in June and found Roots! Bought a satin pothos which has grown drastically and still a healthy, happy plant. The person who served me was very knowledgeable and gave the best care pictures. 100% recommend for all plant lovers, just waiting for more plants to come in stock online and order all the way from the northeast. Thank you!

This is a beautiful shop. We have been there on a few occasions and the plants are very well looked after and do well. Lisa is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and warm. She has even helped us with advice for our plants at home. We love that the plant care is on a QR code and so easy to access.
