Calathea 'Yellow Miracle' is a captivating and visually striking perennial houseplant, known for its vibrant, patterned foliage. This Calathea cultivar features oval, pointed leaves with a distinctive pattern of dark green and bright, almost golden-yellow stripes on the upper surface, often complemented by a rich purple underside. Like other Calatheas, it exhibits daily leaf movement, with leaves rising at night and lowering during the day. Its unique colours and dynamic nature make it a cherished selection among plant enthusiasts in the UK. It is a member of the Marantaceae family, often called the Prayer Plant family.

The genus name Calathea comes from the Greek word kalathos, meaning "basket," referring to the shape of the flower bracts or leaves used for weaving. 'Yellow Miracle' is a cultivar name that describes its bright, yellow-infused variegation.

Temperature: This plant prefers warm temperatures, ideally between 18°C and 24°C (65°F and 75°F). It should be shielded from cold draughts and sudden temperature changes, which can occur indoors, particularly during colder UK months. Temperatures below 16°C (61°F) should be avoided.

Humidity: High humidity levels are highly beneficial for Calathea 'Yellow Miracle', ideally above 60%. Consider using a humidifier or placing the plant on a pebble tray with water to maintain optimal conditions, especially during drier indoor periods in the UK. Low humidity can cause leaf edges to turn brown and crisp.

Returns

We guarantee our plants 14 day from receipt. We guarantee to send happy and healthy plants, however, it is your responsibility to care for them and we cannot be held responsible for neglect or mis care. Please send us a picture within 24 hours of receiving your plant and we'll help you out with your issue.

If returning your order, please keep all original packaging and use this to send the plant back to us. This will ensure the plant is kept as safe as possible on its return.

To allow the plant to acclimatise in its new home, there should be no repotting of the plant for a minimum of 14 days after receipt. If any plant has been repotted or a cutting has been taken then we are not able to accept returns.

We are happy to replace your plant if it is very badly damaged in transport. The loss of a leaf in transport on a healthy plant should not generally be cause for any concern. We cannot give a refund for snapped leaves.
