Please be aware that your plant may vary from the picture as this is a living item. Variations of shape and colour are perfectly natural and to be expected.  We will send you a plant as close to the picture and description as possible. The picture shown is an example of what's in stock unless stated otherwise.

Our plants are sent with a detailed care guide to help you look after them. You must provide the adequate conditions to keep them alive. We reserve the right to determine the appropriateness of care before authorising a return and/or refund.

Root Houseplants is a registered plant importer and passport issuer. All plants from outside of the UK are ethically sourced and are imported with phytosanitary certificates. Every plant import is documented with the relevant Plant Health authorities. Once the plants have arrived in the UK, they are examined by UK inspectors at customs before being released. We issue Plant Passports at our greenhouse. Our Plant Passport Registration Number is GB - 134146.

​Shipping & Delivery

We can only ship within the UK. Orders from abroad cannot be fulfilled and will be cancelled & refunded.

We pack and ship all orders on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to prevent plants waiting in transit over the weekend.

We will use the address provided at checkout. We cannot be held responsible for an incorrect address entry. 

Returns

We guarantee our plants 14 day from receipt.  We guarantee to send happy and healthy plants, however, it is your responsibility to care for them and we cannot be held responsible for neglect or mis care. Please send us a picture within 24 hours of receiving your plant and we'll help you out with your issue.

If returning your order, please keep all original packaging and use this to send the plant back to us. This will ensure the plant is kept as safe as possible on its return.

To allow the plant to acclimatise in its new home, there should be no repotting of the plant for a minimum of 14 days after receipt. If any plant has been repotted or a cutting has been taken then we are not able to accept returns.

We are happy to replace your plant if it is very badly damaged in transport. The loss of a leaf in transport on a healthy plant should not generally be cause for any concern. We cannot give a refund for snapped leaves.

Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions:

​Voucher Redemption

Both paper and digital vouchers can be used online or in-store.

Digital Gift Vouchers;

To redeem your digital voucher, simply enter the Promo Code we sent you in your email here on the website, or show us the email when making a purchase in-store.

Paper Gift Vouchers;

To redeem your paper voucher online, simply enter the Promo Code (including the hand written character) printed on the front. To use these in-store, just show us the voucher when making your purchase.

Gift Voucher info;

It is your responsibility to keep your Gift Voucher (from here on referred to as ‘voucher’) safe and secure - don’t share it or post it on the internet!

Each voucher is valid for 12 months after purchase, see Expires date. Voucher(s) may only be used once (either in-store or online), attempts to double spend will be rejected. We reserve the right to cancel orders if this occurs or if we suspect a voucher is being used fraudulently.

Voucher cannot be; replaced if lost/stolen/destroyed, resold, redeemed for cash or exchanged in any form. It has no cash value and no change can be given for purchases less than the value of the voucher.

Management reserves the right to change these terms & conditions at any time and without giving prior notice.

Cancellation & Refund Procedure

The purchaser of the voucher is entitled to a 14-day ‘cooling off’ period and may get a full refund provided that the voucher is returned unused and with the original receipt within 14 days of purchase. If you need to return a voucher please email info@root-houseplants.com

  • Root Houseplants reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these terms and conditions or engages in fraudulent or inappropriate behavior.

  • We are not responsible for any technical issues that prevent us from seeing your post or sending a direct message.

  • This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or TikTok. You are providing your information to Root Houseplants and not to these social media platforms.

  • We reserve the right to modify or cancel this promotion at any time without notice.

7. Data Protection

  • Any personal data you provide, such as your social media handle, will be used solely for the purpose of this promotion and will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

​Refunds & Returns

We only accept returns when the plant and/or pot is damaged.

Please let us know within 24 hours of receiving your order if something isn't right and we can either give you a refund for that month, or send out a replacement.
